The Hervey Bay whale watch fleet includes up to 8 different craft to suit all tastes and degrees of luxury.

The most recent addition's to the fleet include: “That's Awesome”, to cater for those who like to get out and view the Whales as fast and in as an exciting way as possible. This craft boasts low passenger numbers and super stability. The Business was voted “Best Tourism Business 2007”; and the “Spirit of Hervey Bay MV Grant Dorn” (In memory of the owners late son). This craft weighs 40 tonne and reaches 10 meters into the air and is 24m long. The boat was built locally by Streamline Catamarans. Passengers are treated to four Dolphin and Whale Cameras. These are complimented by modern underwater viewing windows.

Our whale watching experience was on the Tasman Venture. We had a wonderful time in the calm Bay waters and got to see two different whale pods, including new calves, during the afternoon viewing.

A catered lunch was supplied that met our special dietary needs (Celiacs Disease) which was much appreciated.
